Mr. H. Abernathy Died Wednesday
Mr. Hosea Abernathy, age 89, died at his home here Wednesday night at eight o’clock.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Macedonia church at eleven o’clock Friday morning with the Rev. William Abernathy officiating. Interment will be held at Macedonia.
The deceased is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ludie Hill, Mrs. Lee Knight, Mrs. Cora Womack, John Abernathy and Tompie Abernathy.

Funeral services for Malissa Abernathy, 75 years of age, who died at 7:30 Thursday morning at the residence, 200 South Tennessee Street, will be held Friday morning at eleven o’clock at Macedonia Church, and interment will follow in the cemetery there.
Mrs. Abernathy had been quite ill for some time, but her death Thursday morning was unexpected by members of her family. She is survived by her husband, two sons, John Abernathy of Acworth, and H.F. Abernathy of Cartersville, and two daughters, Mrs. Ludie Hill and Mrs. Cora Womack of Cartersville. Funeral services are in charge of Jackson’s funeral directors.

The obituary lists her as Mrs. J.T. Abernathy, however, Malisa was the wife of Hosea Abernathy.
Her children are John Abernathy, Bardy Thompson “Tompie” Abernathy (not H.F.), Ludie (Lugenia “Ludie” Matilda Abernathy) Hill, Cora Abernathy Womack, Hosea Abernathy, II, and Evelyn Lee Abernathy Knight.
