The Graveyard Shift

Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tennessee

This monument honors Andrews Raiders who were put to death after they stole the train "The General" during one of the most exciting episodes of the Civil War. The men who participated in the raid were the first receipients of the US Medal of Honor. The movie "The Great Locomotive Chase" was based on their story. Ohio erected this monument at this cemetery where they are buried.
