Lieutenant Bobby

Rose Hill Cemetery, Macon, Georgia

Lt. Bobby was a dog belonging to Capt D.C. Harris. He was commissioned as a lieutenant, always present at training classes at Fort Benning.
He was buried on February 1, 1936 with full military honors at the Harris family plot in Rose Hill.

Inscription:
 "Just a brown dog, loyal pal and pet of Capt D.C. Harris
Mascot of COC 121 Infantry
Died Jan 29, 1936 Age 12
Faithful to the Last"
